How much does registration cost?
New Please call the office for introductory 2 year reduced rates.
Canadian Applicants $350.00 + GST =$ 367.50.
International Applicants $350.00 Canadian Funds.
Graduates of our approved schools are encouraged to apply within one year of graduation for either ROHP or RNCP designation. Educational upgrading will be required after the one year grace period expires (25 Hours per year -RNCP) (40 Hours per year ROHP).
A yearly renewal fee and educational upgrading is due on March31st each year to keep your registration active. Those who join between June and Nov will have a pro-rated renewal fee and upgrade hours for that March. Those who join after Dec 1st do not need to renew that March.
How do I apply?
Send all of the following to:

- A cheque money order or credit card for the membership fee, payable to the International Organization of Nutritional Consultants.
- A completed application form for Professional Membership in IONC.
- A signed and dated copy of the "ROHP or RNCP Pledge".
- One passport sized photo.
- Copies of ORIGINAL transcripts, photocopies of certificates and any other documentation for your training qualifications.
- A cover letter stating why you wish to become registered. (Include any other health support you may provide to your clients and your reasons for doing so.)
- Letters from two professional people who would be willing to give you character references. (A professional person could include a lawyer, accountant, teacher, minister, doctor, nurse, chiropractor, manager, etc.)
- A curriculum vitae, resume or any other information that may support your application.
- A photocopy of your driver's licence, including picture card if separate.
- Insurance form will be sent to you upon approval. Please complete and send back to Partners Indemnity with a separate Cheque payable to Partners Indemnity Insurance Brokers Ltd, If you already have your own liabilty insurance please enclose proof of existing malpractice insurance with your membership application.
The more details you provide, the easier it will be to evaluate your application. Allow four weeks for the evaluation process.

Alberta Residents: If you plan to practice as a nutritional consultant in Alberta, you may not legally refer to yourself using the word "Registered", as it is a protected term under the Health Professions Act.
This word has been reserved in the province of Alberta by the HPA for use by Health Professionals specifically identified under the Act.
Therefore, to protect our Alberta members, we have opted to drop "Registered" with our Alberta designation (OHP)& (NCP) for the time being.
This is an interim action to support our Alberta members as we seek resolution to this situation through the appropriate government representatives.
